Wubba, Wubba, WubbaNub!

We all know that necessity is the mother of invention. Which explains exactly how the WubbaNub infant pacifiers by Trebco Specialty Products, Inc. came to exist. In desperate need of a good night’s sleep (which was being interrupted by a pacifier that kept falling out), Carla Schneider attached a plush toy to her son’s pacifier and – well rested the next day, realized she was onto something. Which makes the WubbaNub not only adorable, but fairly ingenious as well. These cute pacifiers, made of safe medical grade silicone, come attached to a little stuffed animal. The weight of the animal (along with a child’s willingness to hold onto it!) will keep the pacifier firmly in place, even while your baby sleeps. Plus, soft and easy to grasp, the pacifier will easily find its way back into your child’s mouth even if it does fall out, which ensures no more sleepless nights like the ones the Schneider family experienced. The WubbaNub is also easy to clean by washing gently with soap and water and comes in a variety of cute animal styles, like the cute brown puppy or limited edition monkey. Even better, the pacifier provides additional comfort for a baby (especially when you find yourself spending a night away from home) by combining two of the things babies love most: pacifiers and stuffed animals. And when your child is sleeping like a baby, that means Mom and Dad can too. Pediatricians recommend the WubbaNub because when it is time to stop babies from using the pacifier, you can cut it off and they still have the stuffed animal for soothing. These pacifiers come in a variety of different animals. You will be able to find a duck, frog, puppy, kitty cat, penguin, blue horse, pink horse and the limited edition monkey at Giggles & Coos.

Stanton

I just had to share the cutest picture of Stanton with everyone. Last night we took him to the playground and after that we went to Chili's for dinner. He was pretty tired but still managed to entertain himself with the table display. He is such a stinker!!

Gearing up for Baby!!

A good friend came over yesterday to review her Giggles and Coos' baby registry and to figure out what to buy for the arrival of her son. And, not until she filled a legal pad of paper with two columns of stuff, did she realize that there's so much to buy for a kiddo. For a new parent it is an overwhelming task. It got me thinking about my preparation for Stanton. Beyond the bottles, nipples, pacifiers and so forth the best gifts I received and the things I used most were not the practical items.

Expecting parents certainly need all of the gear that comes with bringing a life into the world. I'm sure all of our Grandma's think us new Moms are crazy for having a wipe warmer, bottle warmer, diaper genie, vibrating chair, automatic swing, all the things that they didn't have when raising their kids. Honestly, it makes things easier and gets you through those tough first weeks. But, the things I cherish most beyond my conveniences are those gifts that last longer, have more personality and show a little love. This is why we started Giggles and Coos. My Mom and I hope that friends and family can go beyond the Babies r Us registry and find that one item that a little one will keep forever. A sweet Angel Dear Blanky, monogrammed blanket, or precious outfit that can be past down to a sibling. I know it seems like shameless self promotion, but it truly is why we do what we do. So, the next time you are standing at our friend - the big box shop, think about Giggles and Coos and how much Mother's appreciate that one special item given with love.

An Easter Egg Hunt

Mommy and Stanton at the Easter Egg Hunt

My son Stanton attended an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday and had the best time! Of course he was more interested in playing with the other children and with the toys than he was the actual Easter Egg Hunt. He had such a nice time that I thought I would share some pictures with you.

And the hunt begins...

but ends quickly as Stanton would rather play with Kylie

and don't forget about Sawyer!

Since Stanton didn't have much of his own treasures, some of the other children were sharing theirs with him.
